This repair kit Includes (2) Hinge Links to repair the unavailable Lund Hinge Assembly LND-1403275-1. The Hinge Link material is UV resistant and exceeds OEM material specifications for this application. Hardware includes (4) Stainless Steel Screws and (4) Stainless Steel Self-Locking Nuts.
Note - This is for the rear (nearest the tail gate) hinge set only - Lund Item LND-140325-1.
Installation takes about 30 minutes and does not require the tonneau cover to be removed from the truck:Step 1 - Fold the tonneau cover open to expose the rear hingesStep 2 - Use a hacksaw to cut the OEM rivets, discard rivets & broken hinge links (see the picture in the ad)Step 3 - Install the new hinge link using the supplied stainless steel hardware (Note: nuts must face the truck bed side)Step 4 - Tighten self locking nuts but avoid over-tightening resulting the hinge binding
Tools Required - Hacksaw; #2 Philips Screwdriver; 11/32 Wrench, Ratchet or Nut Driver; Small 2X4 Block
