This product is a restored antique 1901 Kellogg Oak Magneto Wall Phone, featuring a modular connection for modern use. The phone has been restored and adapted to work as answer only on POTS or VOIP systems or Cellular via a Bluetooth adapter, making it a unique and functional collectible from the pre-1940 time period. Made in the United States, this antique wall telephone showcases the craftsmanship and design of early 20th-century telecommunication technology.When seller obtained this project there was no receiver and no magneto.The following items were sourced and restored this beautiful phone to operational status:4 - bar Kellogg MagnetoReceiver shell, mounting cord and an original receiver module.Transmitter was no longer functional and replaced with modern carbon module. Original Transmitter included for historical purposes.Two Tribute # 6 batteries included as # 6 batteries are no longer manufactured (a $70 value). The tributes unscrew at the top and two \"D\" cells are inserted. These batteries serve as local battery to power the transmitter.A capacitor has been inserted into the circuit isolating the ringer and allowing its use on a POTS type line and also ability to ring it with the magneto crank.A modular jack has been added inside the battery compartment to allow connection to a POTS, VOIP or Bluetooth adapter connection to cell phone (ie X-link).The bells and Transmitter gooseneck have been repainted and the front cover refinished to restore this beauty for proud functional display and play.
