Near Fine overall. A handsome, uniformly bound six-volume group with firm bindings and clean interiors. The green cloth retains strong color and the gilt spine lettering remains bright. There is scattered light rubbing, small marks and occasional spotting to the cloth, with minor wear at corners and spine ends. Page edges show expected age toning. The volumes remain exceptionally well preserved for books more than a century old, with no major structural defects apparent.

Uniformly bound in green cloth with gilt spine titles and top edges gilt. Illustrated throughout with photographic and illustrated plates, many retaining their original tissue guards. This group comes from Scribner’s Biographical Edition of Stevenson’s works and includes David Balfour, St. Ives, Treasure Island, The Wrecker, Kidnapped, and The Merry Men and Other Tales and Fables together with Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The pictured Merry Men volume is dated 1905; Scribner issued titles in the Biographical Edition across 1905–1906.

A particularly appealing selection of Stevenson’s fiction, bringing together several of his defining works of adventure and psychological fiction. Treasure Island and Kidnapped are among the foundational classics of English-language adventure literature, while the Merry Men volume contains Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The matching bindings, period illustrations and tissue-guarded plates give the group considerably more shelf presence than later collected editions.
