Dave Stevens produced the first two stories of the Rocketeer in Starslayer published by Pacific Presents. Starslayer went into obscurity, but the Rocketeer has a cult following in part because of the fantastic pulp characters and due to the unparalleled art by Dave Stevens. However, the Rocketeer is a difficult character to collect. Dave Stevens labored over his stories and art meaning that issues of the Rocketeer were spread over several years and ultimately published by several different independent publishers. This set includes the first and second appearance as well as several other key issues.
