Offered for your consideration is this Rookwood Pottery lidded cigarette holder with frog finial designed by Kataro Shirayamadani and most likely cast in the 1940s before he retired in 1948. The jar is covered with a mottled gray high glaze on the exterior and a turquoise high glaze on the interior. Marks include the Rookwood logo and shape 7002. Not date is indicated. A small frog is perched atop the matching lid. Height is 5 inches. It is in excellent condition.
