About Aakash Engineering
Aakash Engineering supplies industrial automation and instrumentation equipment, including pressure transmitters, PLCs, drives, motors and other industrial components.
Our equipment is sourced from Alang, India, one of Asia\'s largest ship-recycling yards, where industrial equipment is recovered from vessels. We carefully select equipment from established industrial brands and inspect and test items where applicable before offering them for sale.
We aim to provide genuine branded industrial equipment at competitive prices, with clear technical information and photographs of the actual item.
Testing
The transmitter has been tested for electrical output operation.
The transmitter was powered and its 4–20 mA output was monitored with a digital multimeter. The output changes in response to applied pressure, demonstrating that the transmitter is responding to pressure input.
At atmospheric pressure, the measured output was approximately 20.2 mA.
Why is the atmospheric reading approximately 20.2 mA?
This is an absolute pressure transmitter, so its pressure reference is absolute vacuum rather than atmospheric pressure.
The transmitter is configured for approximately:
0 bar ABS = 4 mA
1 bar ABS = 20 mA
Atmospheric pressure is approximately 1.013 bar ABS.
Using the standard 4–20 mA relationship:
4 + [(1.013 − 0) / (1.000 − 0)] × 16 ≈ 20.2 mA
Therefore, the observed 20.2 mA at atmospheric pressure is consistent with approximately 1.013 bar absolute atmospheric pressure.
