Roy Lichtenstein \"As I Opened Fire\" Triptych Set of 3 Lithos Stedelijk Museum For Sale

This is one of the Lithograph sets created by the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam of the great Roy Lichtenstein\'s most famous work, \"As I Opened Fire\" in perfect mint condition.
I bought a couple of pieces from an estate and had to take all or nothing. This set of three was kept in a tube and have a slight curl to the paper as you can see in the photos. The set is unframed which I find to be a positive, much cheaper to buy and ship and it gives the buyer the ability to store/preserve or to frame according to your taste. Also, a framed work on paper will likely have some fading from the sun. The condition here is absolutely perfect, colors as new, very bright.
I hesitate to add notes when I do not know that much and when this set is world famous. Many well-meaning sellers will date the piece \"1964\" - if you read the notes on the back, you will see that the painting (which belongs to the museum) was painted in 1964 and apparently bought by the museum shortly thereafter. For example, the text also says \"acrylic on canvas\", this refers to the original painting. These and the other authentic lithos are obviously works on paper and I understand (looking up online and through my AI assistant) there were probably several printings, likely 1966, 1974, 1983, 1988, 1990. There were several printings because people love this artwork.

It is also possible that there was a printing or two after Roy died but any of those would say Roy Lichtenstein 1923-1997 (not Roy Lichtenstein 1923, as here), therefore we know this set of lithos is at least 30 years old, is authentic and is printed in the Netherlands. Given the fact that quite a few (these are thought to be unnumbered editions of as many as 3000) of these lithos were created, the important issues are the authenticity and quality, created by the museum and printed in the Netherlands, and the condition. Having said that these can bring good money. $1500 to $2000. This is as nice a set as you are going to find, Good Luck!
