Set 2 Vintage Noritake ALICE Platters GOLD WHEAT ON AQUA BAND c1951

Sizes:

Larger platter is 16\" x 12\"

Smaller platter is 12\" x 8.75\"

They do nestle/fit together, the smaller platter fits perfectly within the larger for storage

Elegant circa 1950s set- classic Midcentury Modern patterning, shape, and especially COLOR

The aqua/mint green color of the border is fantastic.

Circa 1951-1959

WIDE trim border with hand applied gold gilt wheat stalks with individual grains of wheat at top.

Gold edging along the outer and inner border of the aqua trim.

Lovely feature of built-in handles at each end. Handles are ridged with gold & white lines.

Sits Up On A Shallow \'Foot\'

Both are fully marked with the Noritake M mark in gold along with the number 5267

Gorgeous and hard to find pattern has a white center with a glossy glaze

Excellent condition to both pieces- pristine. Neither platter has ANY nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, or wear. No cutlery marks. No fading to color and no wear to gold trim. Must have been carefully stored and seldom [if ever] used.

These are fantastic platters, delicate and elegant. HEAVY and gorgeously made- the best of the best.

Great for a collector, would look stunning in use or on display. Would be a fantastic centerpiece at table.
