🌿 THREE ORIGINAL 1866 BOTANICAL COPPERPLATE ENGRAVINGS - A JOURNEY BACK IN TIME 🌿
Imagine these depictions were created with great care by artists and engravers more than 150 years ago. Every leaf vein, petal and shade of nature has been carefully crafted. Today, these works have passed generations and can now become part of your home.
This listing includes 3 original botanical engravings from a rare botanical work from 1866. Selection is random from a large collection.
As long as the selection is still sufficiently large, your wishes regarding the color design can be taken into account. For example, if you prefer pink, blue, red, yellow or purple flowers, please let us know before purchasing. However, the particularly colorful copies are sold the fastest. With each passing month, the selection becomes smaller, which is why the possibility of targeted color selection will be increasingly limited. Red, pink, blue and purple motifs are particularly in demand. If you prefer certain shades, reservation is recommended early.
All leaves are original copperplate engravings that have been hand colored with watercolors. These are not copies, reproductions, or modern prints. You are purchasing authentic 19th century artwork from a time when scientific illustration was considered an art form.
The condition of these works is particularly impressive. The high-quality, solid paper has survived excellently for more than a century and a half. The colours have remained remarkably fresh, vibrant and expressive to this day. Many modern printed products do not achieve such color quality even after a few decades. Each graphic looks classy, elegant and reminiscent of a museum display piece.
Botanical graphics are among the most popular forms of classic wall decoration today. They decorate stylish homes, libraries, study, hotels and high-quality designer interiors around the world. They create an atmosphere of calm, education, sophistication and timeless beauty.
Every visitor immediately perceives such works of art. They tell something about their owner's character, their appreciation for history, culture, and genuine craftsmanship. Botanical engravings are an expression of taste, style and personality.
Collecting antique botanical graphics means much more than acquiring beautiful images. It means preserving a piece of cultural history and passing it on to future generations. This hobby promotes aesthetic sensation, enriches everyday life and creates a special connection to the past.
It is important to understand that the number of original 19th century botanical leaves is limited. New copies will never be made again. Every year more pieces disappear into private collections, museums and libraries. As a result, high-quality originals are becoming increasingly rare and sought after. Many collectors view such works not only as a source of aesthetic pleasure, but also as a long-term investment in cultural values.
Of particular note, these graphics make an exceptionally stylish, sophisticated, and tasteful gift. At a time when many gifts are quickly forgotten, historical originals hold lasting significance. They provide joy for many years and often become family heirlooms. Such a gift shows attention, appreciation, and a strong sense of culture.
It is great for collectors, art lovers, doctors, scientists, teachers, interior designers, florists, gardeners, or anyone who appreciates beauty, nature, and history.
With an original 19th century botanical engraving, you are not simply giving away a beautiful image, but an authentic historical artifact that has been preserved for more than 150 years.
Please note that only the original sheets are sold. Frames are not included. This has the advantage that each buyer can adapt the design individually to their living style. Matching frames are easily available worldwide - in furniture stores, art shops, hardware stores or specialist picture frame stores. Framing is simple and inexpensive.
Just a few minutes after framing, such an engraving turns into an impressive decorative object with museum character. It adds personality, elegance and a special atmosphere to rooms. For this reason, original botanical graphics are enjoying great popularity among collectors and interior designers worldwide.
These graphics make a wonderful gift idea for any lover of art, botany, history, and classic aesthetics.
Please understand that I cannot answer questions about individual plant species. The collection includes a very large number of different botanical motifs. Therefore, I cannot guarantee the availability of certain plants or select individual species specifically. Selection is only possible according to color requirements.
For buyers of larger quantities or several sets, I of course offer attractive volume discounts.
Sometimes the most beautiful discoveries are made just when you are surprised. Be amazed by the beauty of nature of the 19th century and bring a piece of authentic history into your home.
