This handcrafted studio art pottery platter is an original creation by Gregory Kent Wooten (1947–2006), founder of Indian River Pottery. Wooten established the studio in 1972 after earning a degree in art from Florida State University, and continued producing pottery there until his passing in 2006. His work is celebrated for its wheel-thrown stoneware forms, expressive abstract brushwork, vivid multi-colored glazes, earthy palettes, and signature organic drip effects. Signed and dated 1998, this platter is a fine example of his distinctive artistic style and Florida studio pottery tradition.

Very good vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs observed. Inherent glaze variations, light crazing, and hand-crafted irregularities are characteristic of studio pottery. Original Indian River Pottery gallery label remains attached. Please review all photos for details.
