Beautiful and unusual framed artwork depicting four Mevlevi whirling dervishes surrounding a central ney flute player, rendered in a graceful minimalist line-art style.
The imagery is associated with the Mevlevi Sufi tradition of Turkey, particularly the ceremonial whirling practice known as the Sema, and would make a wonderful decorative piece or keepsake for someone interested in Turkish culture, Islamic art, Sufism, Rumi/Mevlana, spiritual art, dance, or travel to Turkey.
The artwork is presented on textured cream-colored paper beneath an oval blue mat with metallic gold-tone detailing, finished in a wood-tone frame with gold-tone inner trim.
A signature or artist mark is visible at the lower right. The complete signature appears to extend underneath the oval mat and cannot currently be fully deciphered. An identical composition has been located online, but the artist and exact date of production have not been conclusively identified, so this piece is being sold as artist unknown.
The reverse retains a Turkish framing/gift-shop label reading:
“Çerçeve Evi”
“Çerçevecilik - Hediyelik”
with handwritten Seri No. 832. This indicates that the piece was framed and/or sold through a Turkish framing and gift business.

Pre-owned condition with some normal age and handling wear to the frame, mat and backing. Please review all photographs carefully for the exact condition. The artwork has not been removed from its original framing, so the exact printing/drawing technique, age and nature of the signature have not been independently verified.
