Unusual handmade studio art pottery mug or sculptural cup featuring a dramatic architectural pedestal base and oversized integrated handle.
The piece is finished in a rich purple-blue glaze with abstract layered accents in teal, rust, pale blue, cream and mauve. Its geometric open base gives it a distinctive postmodern sculptural appearance while elevating the rounded cup above the surface.
The underside has an incised “Z” artist/maker mark within a glazed square. The maker has not been identified.
Measures approximately 7” tall x 5.75” wide x 4” deep.
