Hello rug loving world! Everyone has been suffering under the heat dome and are not thinking of wool rugs. But we found a treasure trove here in Phoenix and we went out into the 100 degree weather to bring them home for you. Because it is too hot to work in our outside carpet cleaning and photography station, this is your chance to save. You have to trust our description because we aren\'t photographing in the bright sunshine. And you have to accept the rugs \"As Is.\" We are not able to do the cleaning and restoration service that we usually provide.  That said, look at this beautiful Essfahaaan carpet! A Mid-Century Masterpiece!  Palatial size with the timeless ornate design and palette loved worldwide.  Carnelian red and cobalt navy mainly but there are so many lovely colors to discover! Please note the gorgeous orange color that we are calling Marigold and the lovely kiwi green of the botehs in the border design. Even though there is no silk, this is a high quality, city rug, woven with the best kork wool that has special shine and longevity to boot. Symmetric and even. We used to find these types of carpets frequently, however changing times have made them scarce. This is your opportunity to get five meters of exquisite handmade carpeting for a fraction of what they sell for retail. Now, as for condition, we have included close-ups of selvage wear, corner wear, and some drops of liquid stain. There is no wear or traffic pattern. Just the normal issues of a long life and an ivory field. We also included a picture from one area on the back of the rug where it appears the moisture was absorbed from underneath somehow and caused some color transfer. This is not visible from the front without searching and even then, the dense pattern and abundant colors distracts and you can\'t really find the transfer on the front. The fringes are somewhat worn and could be trimmed to be more even but they are not unsightly soiled. With these condition issues in mind, trust the images. The rug is gorgeous and the blemishes are only evident after searching. There is no odor and we have thoroughly vacuumed front and back and given it a surface cleaning.  Buy with confidence. There is easily another century of service in this carpet. We give it a seven or eight out ten rating of Very Good antique condition, though this is harsh, as all these issues are easily addressed and the rug can be fully restored to its original majesty.
