Star Frontiers Knight Hawks TSR 7011 1983 2nd Print Box Set Unpunched Counters For Sale

Offered here is an original 1983 TSR Star Frontiers: Knight Hawks boxed game, TSR product 7011, bringing starship construction, interstellar travel and tactical ship-to-ship combat to the Star Frontiers universe.

This is the 1983 second printing, and this particular survivor has a rather wonderful contrast between the battle scars outside and what has been protected within.

The outer box has unquestionably seen some adventures of its own. It shows rubbing, edge and corner wear, creasing and general storage/handling wear. Most importantly, the cover/lid is detached at BOTH corners along its top edge, leaving that edge separated from the adjoining sides. Please examine the photographs closely for the exact condition of the box.

But lift that battle-worn lid and things get considerably prettier.

The books, maps and surviving game materials inside remain remarkably clean and attractive for their age. Most notably, the original die-cut counter sheet remains completely intact and UNPUNCHED, with all of those little game counters still attached to their original sheet more than four decades later.

There is something particularly satisfying about finding an old boxed RPG like this. The purple box bears the evidence of its journey through the decades, but it did its job: much of what it protected inside survived in remarkably nice condition. And somehow, through all those years, nobody punched out the counters.

For the Star Frontiers player, vintage TSR collector or old-school RPG enthusiast, this is a wonderfully evocative survivor from TSR\'s early science-fiction era.
