This book is in very good pre-owned antique condition. See photos for a visual condition description. I took a lot of pictures and did my best to show everything that you might want to know about the book.

1881 Harper & Brothers Sewn binding with visible hinge to front board. The first page has wear and tear along the side edge. The rest are in excellent condition. Mustard boards slightly dirty and show slight rubbing in spots. The silver gilt is mostly crisp and bright to the front board and spine. The small elephant in silver gilt lower right corner shows minor rubbing. Corners slightly bumped and shows slight fraying. Tops and the bottom of the spine show slight fraying. Many illustrations with tissue intact to spine throughout the book and at frontis. The first color illustration tissue is slightly pulled. away from the binding.
