The Complete Works of Francis Rabelais 2 volume set published by Harcourt, Brace and Company. This set was published in 1931 and is a first edition set in the original slipcover. The books have been conservatively graded in good condition. The slipcover shows some shelf wear and age but has protected the books inside for 95 years. Edited with an introduction and notes by Albert Jay Nock and Catherine Rose Wilson. Illustrated with photographs and reproductions of documents and old prints. Both of the books have brown clothbound boards with gilt lettering on the spines. The bindings on both are tight with no loose, torn or missing pages. There is one page in volume 2 that has some creasing but nothing bad. The interior pages of both volumes are clean and bright with no markings anywhere.
