A two volume set of The Original Water-Color Paintings by John James Audubon for The Birds of America with an introduction by Marshall B. Davidson, published 1966 by American Heritage Publishing Company, New York, first edition. These books are each approximately 450 pages, and have 435 full color plates from The New York Historical Society collection, with cross-references to the Havell plate numbers. They are bound in brown cloth covers with darker brown insets and gilt titling. The slipcase has a plant pattern in browns and tans, with a brown inset and gilt titling.
