A fascinating vintage guide to architecture, interior decoration, furnishings, color, room arrangement and creating an individual style within the home. Written by Emily Post, best known for her influential books on etiquette and social hardcover with original dust jacket in good overall condition for its age. The dust jacket shows considerable edge and surface wear, including chipping, small losses, creasing and several old tape repairs. The hardcover itself remains attractive with bright gilt lettering. There is a vintage owner signature and date of April 16, 1935 inside the front cover, along with an address stamp and address label on the front endpaper. Some age toning and light foxing are present, particularly on the first few pages. The interior is otherwise in very good vintage condition with the illustrations and text remaining clean and readable. The fold-out color chart is present.
