Crafted of 100% silk with a 100% nylon lining, this long, slender pink gown is lavishly embellished from neckline to hem with multicolored sequins, seed pearls, larger faux pearls and shimmering bugle beads arranged in intricate floral, paisley and scrolling motifs. Even the hem is beautifully detailed.
The silhouette is long and elegant, with long sleeves, a defined waist and a dramatic low keyhole/open back. A back slit provides ease of movement. The dense hand-applied embellishment gives the gown wonderful texture and sparkle while retaining its graceful column shape.
Condition: Exceptionally clean vintage condition with little to no visible evidence of wear. I find no notable wear or discoloration at the underarms or hem. There are a few loose threads in approximately four small areas, consistent with the delicate nature and age of such extensive beadwork. Please review photographs carefully for condition and details. The zipper is sound. There are a few loose threads (approx 4 places), but I cannot find that this was ever worn (hem and armpits are pristine) beyond trying it on. The shoulder have padding appropriate for the time period. You will want to steam out the wrinkles when it arrives.
