The diffuser powers on normally, the controls and indicator lights work, and the unit can enter Wi-Fi/Bluetooth setup mode.
The original Ritz-Carlton fragrance capsule included with the bundle is not being recognized, so the diffuser is being sold as needing a new compatible full-size fragrance capsule.
I purchased this directly as part of a Ritz-Carlton diffuser bundle. The diffuser itself appears functional, but I have not tested scent operation with a known-good replacement capsule.
