Two Antique Button Bulbs Japan 50\'s Tin Toy Masudaya Robot Gang Nomura Yonezawa:
$22.00

Good evening Mr. and Mrs America, and all the ships at sea...You are viewing/purchasing two original 1950\'s to 1960\'s era Japan light bulbs intended for use in antique tin toys by Masudaya and Yonezawa (and others) or certain antique flashlights. These lamps were made to General Electric\'s specifications. Inspected and tested before shipment.
Slight patina, more than our minty 1950\'s lamps in our other listing. Far less patina than our 1930\'s lamps in our other listing (those are beautiful and look incredible on unrestored, original toys).
Use these on very good, near mint condition or on later toys made in the 1960\'s if these lamps patina matches your toys patina.
These bulbs are NOT a modern reproduction, they were manufactured in the early 1950\'s. Beautiful, correct, and vintage. They are 2.24v rating, are intended for use with two 1.2v AA, C, or D batteries.
Stamped on the brass base \"2.24V JAPAN\" they also have the correct white painted reflector inside the base mounting as seen in the photos. C2R (C-2R) filament, design hour rating is 5, E10 Edison miniature base (old flashlight and typical toy screw base) FE 3-3/4 Flat End bulb shape.
Produced for importing to the USA hardware and toy markets about 75 years ago, and made to the GE 223 bulb specifications, it has the correct filament, correct brass base, accurate white reflector, and can be used in toys from the 1930\'s to the 1960\'s (though most accurately from the late 1940\'s to the early 1960\'s). If your toy needs a flat-ended bulb like the 223, but was US-manufactured prior to the mid 1930\'s, please message us as we have many other flat ended bulbs that will have the older and correct S type filament. We also have the American-made equivalents should you require them.
Our shop has the world\'s largest inventory of antique toy light bulbs, if your toy was made after 1920, chances are we may have a period-correct lamp replacement on-hand.
We take great care with inspection, measurement, and correct identification. In addition to providing antique toy repairs and restorations, we also have a passion for high quality American, Swiss, German, and Austrian tooling and machinery. Please view our other sales over the next several weeks including a number of watchmaker lathes and lathe accessories. Our packaging is second to none, everything is always packaged extremely well when we ship out our customer\'s purchases and restorations.
Please view our other sales for similar watchmaker, model engineering, models and miniature tool sales.
Thank you,
Jason
