Seven images of this two-volume, first-edition set are shown below; I have been selling vintage illustrated books on for over 25 years, and this set\'s condition is the best I have seen. This item is: Personal Memoirs of U. S. Grant, Published by Charles L. Webster & Company. Volume I was published in 1885; Volume II was published in 1886. Each book measures 9 1/4\" x 6 1/4\". Volume I is 584 pages; Volume II is 647 pages. The books are in Very Good-Near Fine condition with some very, very gentle wear and with illustrations and maps of varying size throughout in each. Image #1 below is the books\' spines; images #2-#5 are the front- and rear-board of each book. Images #6 and #7 are the books\' steel engraving frontispieces. The books\' endpapers are decorated with a floral pattern. For each book, there is no writing inside, no former-owner\'s bookplate inside, no foxing, and no loose pages. They will be shipped in a solid box anywhere in the United States via USPS Media Mail for free.
