Be aware the ETA (throttle body) and lower engine harness includes starter, starter solenoid, oil pressure and oil level also have defective wiring insulation. Early 1993 / 1994 have a ROUND temp sensor connector on the side of the thermostat housing in the pictures,ThisDOESfit!
Late 1994 / 1995 have a SQUARED 4 pin temp sensor connector on the top of the thermostat housing, like the one in pictures.ThisDOESNOT fit.
If you have ANY doubts on which harness you need send me a picture of your wiring connectors at the thermostat housingBEFORE buying.
Also checkthe condition ofYOURwiring insuation at the front of your engine, many people have bought harnesses when their's was already updated!
People incorrectly have bought this 5632 part number when they actually needed a 2933 harness over 25 times since 2017.You Need To Check Your Old Part Tag Number Before Buying!!Do notrely on your VIN #orthe dealer for your correct part number, I have had them give thewrongpart number to people MANY times!!!There may be a black plastic cover over the ECU's in back of the battery- see picture
The part number tag is about 18-24" back from the ecu connector on a small 2 wire pigtail by the small connector on the end(see picture where I'm pointing to it)
May 2015 Update:Over 8 people have ran into this problem since then. Nobody likes getting the wrong part, I even had one MB mechanic use a e320 part number to replace a 1992 e400 harness.I was originally ASE certified as a automotive electrician in 1984, (actually way over 30 years automotive wiring/electronic experience).
