The upgrade cost includes the following:
Electronic upgrade of the main board, including installation of the required ICs and associated passive components; firmware upgrade to the latest version by installing four new ROM ICs; replacement of the front display window with the 53132A marking; full calibration of the unit; inspection of the power supply and capacitor replacement if needed; inspection of the cooling fan and installation of a new ultra-low-noise fan if needed; and return shipping within the U.S.
Please note that some older HP-branded units with main board revision 53131-60003 cannot be upgraded.
Please contact us before placing an order so we can confirm your counter’s main board revision.
Also if your unit Agilent-branded and has main board revision 53131-68024, the upgrade is not currently possible.
If your 53131A also requires repair, an additional flat-rate charge of $200 will apply.

Please pack your unit very well. Your meter may be shipped back using your original shipping box.
2. We will upgrade your instrument, test it, calibrated and ship it back to you.
Return shipping is included in the price of this listing.
This listing is for a UPGRADE SERVICE of your 53131Aonly. You will have to send your counter for upgade.
We will upgrade and mail the counter back to you within 96 business hours after receiving the unit. We use Fedex or UPS ground service.
When you ship your counter, please let us know the tracking number.
