A genuine used oak whiskey barrel with beautiful weathered character, perfect for rustic home decor, garden planters, rain barrel conversion, or bar-themed displays. The staved white oak construction features traditional iron hoops with an attractive patina of surface rust that adds to the aged aesthetic. The wood staves have silvered and grayed naturally from outdoor exposure, with warm amber tones where the original spirit has stained the wood from the inside.
Two barrels are shown in the photos. One barrel appears open at the top (shown with a pole through it, likely used as a post surround), while the second barrel has its flat wooden lid intact and in solid condition. Both barrels show the classic bilge shape and multiple iron hoop bands. A bung plug is visible on the side of one barrel.
Estimated dimensions: approximately 35 inches tall, 23-25 inches diameter at widest point, consistent with a standard 30-gallon whiskey barrel. The staves are structurally intact with no visible splitting or collapse. Iron hoops show heavy surface rust but appear to be holding tension. Some stave gaps visible at the open-top barrel.
Ideal for: garden planters, patio accent pieces, bourbon bar decor, rustic wedding or event props, rain catchers, or upcycling projects. Local pickup strongly recommended due to size and weight.
