Up for sale is a magnificent vintage Japanese Arita Ware Blue and White Porcelain Charger, measuring an impressive 16 inches in diameter.
The front showcases an intricately detailed, hand-painted underglaze scene evoking the classic "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove" motif, featuring robed scholars conversing in a bamboo forest. The back rim is decorated with three stylized floral crests. The center foot bears the authentic underglaze blue calligraphic signature reading Hizen Tetsusaburo saku (Made by Tetsusaburo in Hizen province).
Condition Report:
The charger is in wonderful vintage condition. Free of any chips, cracks, crazing, or structural restorations.
