For sale is a complementary lot of two (2) vintage demitasse teacup and saucer sets (4 individual porcelain pieces total) made by Merit. Both sets feature gorgeous, dense all-over "chintz" floral patterns accented with elegant gold-gilded rims and handles.Because they bear the authentic historical backstamp, these pieces are verified to have been manufactured during the post-WWII Allied occupation of Japan (circa 1945–1952). They make a wonderful addition to any Occupied Japan collection or a charming addition to a vintage tea party display.Lot Includes:

• Set 1: (1) Multi-color cottage garden chintz demitasse cup & (1) matching saucer (features a pastel mix of pink, blue, orange, and yellow flowers).
• Set 2: (1) Yellow primrose chintz demitasse cup & (1) matching saucer (features vibrant yellow blooms and dense green foliage).

In great condition, no chips cracks or repairs. On the one saucer there is a slight manufacturing flaw, a small transfer skip of the pattern. No other issues noted. See photo's for most accurate visual description as this is the exact item you will be purchasing.
