Up for sale is a charming set of 3 vintage hand-embroidered kitchen tea towels, featuring adorable animal simile motifs from the highly collectible 1956 Vogart Pattern #294. These authentic mid-century pieces feature embroidery on classic, lightweight cotton flour sack fabric, on which the pattern was transferred in an iron-on process. Unfolded, the towels measure 17\" wide by 34\" long. The similes are accomplished through sentence starters:
- Hungry As A [Bear]: shows a bear holding a ladle next to a pot of honey.
- Cute As A [Kitten]: depicts a playful kitten wearing a bow next to a ball of yarn.
- Quick As A [Rabbit]: featuring a bunny munching on a carrot. **PLEASE NOTE: this one was not completed! It only has QUIC (see photo)!
Condition: Being authentic vintage textiles, there are small storage spots, some darkened areas throughout, and some overall wash wear; however, the embroidery colors are bright, vibrant and unfaded. Please review photos carefully.
