Vintage 1986 Gordy International Toy ThunderCats Signal Gun (GY497) from the original ThunderCats toy line.
This is a genuine vintage 1980s Gordy ThunderCats Signal Gun and is becoming extremely difficult to find. I was unable to locate any comparable examples currently listed on , and I could not find a completed/sold example from the past several years during my research.
Condition:
* Overall very nice vintage condition for its age
* Original white plastic remains crisp and unfaded
* Original ThunderCats decal/sticker is in excellent, near-mint condition
* Trigger is intact
* There is some damage/melting to the rear/side portion of the gun near the red release button. Please carefully review the photos.
* The gun has not been repainted or restored
* It was only lightly wiped with a damp microfiber cloth to remove surface dust; no detergents or harsh cleaners were used
* Incomplete: missing the original snap-on lenses and the internal light bulb/component
* Untested due to the missing components, so functionality cannot be guaranteed
The Signal Gun is documented as a 1986 Gordy ThunderCats release and was originally supplied with snap-on lens accessories. Finding one in any condition is difficult, and examples with a clean, unfaded body and an exceptionally nice original ThunderCats decal are particularly hard to come across.
This would make an excellent addition to a serious ThunderCats, 1980s vintage toy, Gordy Toys, or toy accessory collection.
Please examine all photos carefully for condition and completeness. This is being sold as an incomplete vintage collectible with the damage described above.
