VeryRare authentic COALPORT handlesss potpourri ewer with round bulbous body resting on moulded scalloped foot .the body ends in a flared rim with sparrow beak pouring spout . Made by the Coalport factory in shropshire england in 1835 so its pre Victorian.William iv .Two fully glazed suspention holes are seen opposite the spout designedto hold a silk suspention cord to hang from a stand.This william IV 1835 exquisite Coalport floral encrusted potpourri basket ewer is near complete, with only 4 very small chips to the paper thin flowers and the main body of the ewer in very good condition This is unusual, as mostly these potpourri filled ewer baskets were hung on a stand by ribbons slotted through the holes near a window to waft the scent. But this one stands firmly on a good scalloped base so you have a choice .The main body is glazed white with 22 k gold sprigs.Very hard to find in near complete state ,like this one. height is8 inches (20 cms) TARRIF FREE TO USA
