An exceptional matching pair of vintage 14-inch porcelain baluster vases decorated by the renowned A.C.F. (Artistic Ceramic Factory) studio, acquired from a private estate. These grand statement pieces feature a brilliant, hand-finished golden-yellow fish-scale background ground adorned with large orange-red iron oxide peony medallions and rich green foliage.
Both bases feature the red stamped hallmark: "Japanese Porcelain Ware - Decorated in Hong Kong - A.C.F." This mark represents the highly collectible mid-century collaboration where high-quality white porcelain blanks from Japan were hand-enameled by master decorators in Hong Kong workshops (circa 1960s/1970s). The bases include pre-molded factory holes in the center of the underside, making them perfect for easy conversion into decorative table lamps if desired.
The pair is in very good vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, or post-production repairs. True to hand-finished porcelain, one vase features original underglaze cobalt blue kiln pigment drips on the inner rim, and there are minor scattered kiln pops from the factory firing (see close-up photos).
