Vintage 17” Holy Mother Christ Child Sculpture Prof E Pattarino Catholic Italy For Sale

Offering a scarce and intricate ceramic sculpture depicting the Madonna and Child hand crafted by Italian artist Prof Eugenio Pattarino.  The piece is of important size measuring nearly 17"h and features Mary gently holding the young Christ child on her lap.  The young new Holy Mother has a serene, patient, confident expression.  The future Savior has an intentional gaze while holding his right hand up gesturing peace.  The statue features elaborate, finely hand-painted florals, the prominent gold-detailed burgundy cape, the exquisite gold halo and lavishly and beautifully hand painted gold details.  It is signed Prof E Pattarino on the bottom edge of the cape and was handmade in Italy in the 1950's (artist Eugenio Pattarino lived from. 1885-1971). This collectible piece reflects the rich tradition and spirituality of Christianity and captures the essence of faith and devotion.  While this impressive piece of pottery is in near perfect condition, please note the small harm to the halo on the last photo.
