Here\'s a lovely ring from the 1920s or 1930s. It features a curved slice of carnelian, a type of chalcedony, set into a quintessential Art Deco setting of curved stepped shoulders...very architectural in style. The carnelian is a translucent reddish-orange color...very smooth & glossy (it is uniform in color, not banded...in pictures it is picking up reflections from my window shutters). Inside the shank it is stamped with \"sterling\" for silver content (acid testing also confirms this).*box shown in pictures is for display only and not included.
⫸MEASUREMENTS⫷
The carnelian measures 3/4 of an inch long and 3/8 of an inch across.This measures as a US 6.75 on my ring mandrel, and fits as such.Weighs 5.52 grams.
