Vintage 1930s Elastic Hat Holders Advertising Card Patent 2,081,683 Framed For Sale

Vintage Elastic Hat Holders advertising card, framed, featuring U.S. Patent No. 2,081,683.This is a really neat piece of vintage advertising and fashion history. The original card features an illustrated woman wearing a hat and reads “Elastic Hat Holders” and “Made in U.S.A.” The card also identifies Patent No. 2,081,683.The patent was granted in 1937 to Abraham Solosko for an elastic attaching device specifically designed for hat elastics. The patent describes the elastic as being used to hold hats on the heads of wearers.The original elastic hat-holder cords are still attached to the card. The card is mounted in a simple black frame with a linen-textured mat/background.Condition: Vintage/used condition with age-related wear. The original paper card has discoloration, creasing, edge wear, and some small tears/damage around the areas where the elastic passes through the card. The elastic itself shows age and wear. The frame also has some scratches and wear from age.
