For sale is a deeply historical and unique piece of American history. This vintage King James Version Holy Bible was published by The World Syndicate Publishing Co. (Cleveland / New York).
The true value of this Bible lies in its remarkable, handwritten family provenance inscribed on the front flyleaf. The notes document the life of its original owner, Willis Frank Wright, spanning several major life milestones and military service:
• Birthday Gift: Given to Frank by his mother on his 13th birthday on July 4, 1937.
• WWII Service: Notes show Frank was called to service on Dec. 27, 1943, and went overseas in June 1944.
• Combat Injury: Explicitly records that he was \"Wounded in France August 21, 1944\" during World War II.
• Post-War Life: Documents his discharge on August 25, 1945, his installation as a Church Elder in 1970, and his home moves to Rayford and Fayetteville.
Condition Notes:
The Bible shows authentic wear consistent with its age and historical journey. The flexible black cover has heavy wear and fraying along the edges and spine.
