Original vintage Lee work trousers dating approximately to the 1940s–1950s that were part of a Phillips 66 service station uniform.
Excellent early workwear construction featuring cotton herringbone twill fabric, button fly, belt loops, internal suspender buttons, slash front pockets and welt-style rear pockets.
These were owned by a relative of mine who worked in Phillips 66 service stations in the late 1940s. These pants were part of his Phillips 66 uniform and matched his shirts. We are keeping the shirts but selling these pants.
Original black Lee label reads:
UNION MADE
Lee
FADE PROOF
SANFORIZED
These have the classic high-rise, straight-leg silhouette associated with early American industrial/workwear trousers.
Approximate measurements shown in photos. Waist measures about 15” flat / approximately 30” around. Legs are currently cuffed; please refer to photographs and ask if additional measurements are needed. It would appear that the legs are currently cuffed to an inseam of approximately 25 inches, but if the cuff was removed fully, they may be as long as 29 or 30 inches.
CONDITION: Heavily worn original vintage condition. Numerous stains, marks, discoloration, fading and general work wear throughout. Interior waistband shows wear and age. These have not been restored and are being sold as-found. Please examine all photographs carefully.
Excellent original piece for collectors of early Lee, American workwear, HBT clothing, vintage Americana, heritage clothing and Japanese vintage/workwear.
