An original mid 1940s / early 1950s hand painted Flying Tigers A-2 style leather jacket. Extremely rare and collectible piece of military history.
The 2nd pursuit squadron, this jacket features panda bear and flying tigers insignias painted on both the front and back. Also features “A.V.G”, and 5 Japanese flags painted on the front, as well as a 40s / WWII Chinese bloodchit sewn into the liner.
Blood chit numbered # 0074.
The leather jacket brand is Kurland Star Sportswear. The jacket is not in great condition and could use some restoring, which is expected for a leather jacket that’s 75+ years old. Zipper is not fully functioning and the inner lining and ribbing have holes. A few loose stitches on one of the shoulders/sleeves.
