1946-47 is a special set because it was published the year immediately following the end of WWII, and is the first Book of Knowledge set to have the first complete telling of the war while it was still super fresh, from beginning to end.The inside cover of the Index (AKA: Vol 19&20) is green. All the rest of the series is red. See pic.Some cosmetic wear on corners. The spines of the red hardcovered set show the most signs of wear. Which is kind of a bummer, because the fronts & backs are really in good condition. No cracking of binding or loose and brittle pages. Very solid. Zoom in on the pics of the fronts and backs.
