Check out this amazing true 1950’s vintage taupe gabardine Western jacket! Dating back exactly to 1954, this heavyweight gabardine jacket is a truly unique and rare find. Featuring a Western chevron patch pocket, a 3 button front, an action back, and large peak lapels, this one surely has all the bells and whistles! Tags indicate it came from S.H. Churchill & Co. custom tailors out of Chicago, made for one George Lockman on 09/22/54! He surely must’ve oozed style. It sits longer on the body and feels more like a western cowboy duster or a zoot suit jacket. It certainly does have a particularly Western feel to it, echoing popular late-40’s and early-50’s country western fashions. With a deep center vent it seems like it would be perfect for a long blustery day riding the range on your trusty horse.
