Fantastic vintage Magic Chalkboard Cleaner by Blackboard Maintenance Co. of Fulton, Illinois — an unusual piece of genuine mid-century school and classroom equipment.
This wall-mounted cleaner holder features its original printed instruction panel with wonderful period graphics explaining how the Magic Chalkboard Cleaner system was used to clean blackboards, erasers and chalk rails. The instructions reference the company\'s proprietary Magic Chalk Solvent and show the original layered-cloth cleaning pad being used and stored in the holder.
The original cloth cleaning pad and cleaning solvent are not included. This listing is for the surviving wall-mounted holder assembly shown in the photos, including the printed instruction panel, wooden pad support/holder and removable metal cover.

Wonderful authentic schoolhouse piece for a vintage classroom collection, teacher or education memorabilia collection, industrial/institutional decor, schoolhouse display, theater or film prop, or period set dressing.
Condition is heavily aged and distressed as shown. The printed instruction panel has substantial staining, discoloration, paper loss, peeling and other age-related deterioration. Metal components show scratches, finish loss, oxidation and surface wear. Wooden component also shows age and use wear. The original cleaning pad and solvent are missing.
No attempt has been made to restore or aggressively clean the piece. Please review all photos closely for complete condition and included components.
