Vintage 1950s Catalina Egyptian novelty print swimsuit & beach jacket set
*1950s Catalina one-piece swimsuit
Amazing “Egyptienne” hieroglyphics inspired novelty print cotton swimsuit with adjustable straps and a bloomer-style bottom. The print on both fabrics (swimsuit and cover up) were designed by painter Lamartine Le Goullon for the Associated American Artists fabric collection in the mid 1950s.
Measurements
Bust: 32”-34”
Waist: 24” (stretches up to 28” easily)
Hip: 32” at rest (easily up to 38”)
Length: 24” from top of suit (31” measured from straps at shortest length)
Labeled size 12/34
Condition: elastic is strong. Freshly washed and ready to wear. Frayed label and faint spots on the front (somewhat hidden by flaps).

Beach jacket has a single button closure at the neck, two large front pockets and a cape flap on the back.

Tagged size medium, but best worn oversized on a size small or xs
Condition: Frayed label. One light spot on cape and a tiny pinhole near collar. Freshly washed.
