Here is a 1960 stamped Slingerland 20x14\" bass drum with original black/gold Niles badge and grommet and both original hoops.
Shell has the letter P stamped inside the Mahogany interior and stamped Nov 16 1960
No extra holes. Factory White Marine Pearl wrap on shell. Tight seams. Factory drilled for rail mount, side L-rod cymbal arm mount,16 large lugs, and left/right spur mounts. Evenly aged wrap. No cracks on the wrap. Bearing edges are decent and the reinforcement rings in could stand to be reglued and clamped if you choose to do so. I can squeeze them in a few spots and see they are not 100% tight but an easy fix or leave it as is. Shell is in round both sides and head spins freely all around
Hoops have the original White Marine inlay and are factory stapled with no missing inlay. Hoops will have to be sanded and repainted obviously but will be good working hoops. One hoop has an even crack in it and has been wrapped in tape. It will need to be reglued, maybe a tiny bit of wood glue near the break, sanded then repainted. Like i said it is a clean break and an easy fix.
There are a few spots of what appears to be blue paint on the wrap in a couple spots and a small spot on a hoop. I am sure some cleaner can remove this but i am not doing anything to these as i do not even have the hardware anymore to put this drum back together. And the brown stuff you see in 2 areas on the top of the wrap is what would be underneath the rail mount plate.
Will make a nice drum when reassembled with some nice Slingerland hardware and the hoops refinished.
