Vintage 1961 Plymouth Valiant 4-Door Sedan Tin Toy Car Made in Japan For Sale

This is apre-owned vintage collectiblethat has survived through the years and naturally shows signs of age, handling, storage, and previous enjoyment. Rather than taking away from its appeal, the wear gives this car the authentic character collectors often appreciate in an original vintage toy.

This vehicle is being sold inused vintage condition with visible cosmetic wear. I want my buyer to know exactly what they are receiving, so I have photographed the car carefully and am providing a detailed description.

On theleft/driver's-side door, there is amedium-sized dent that is clearly visible. On theleft side of the hood, there is a small black mark that can also be seen.

Toward theright rear bumper area, there is another visible mark. Theright-side doorhas a slight dent, and there is also asmall/light dent on the right side of the vehicle above the bumper.

Thetop/roof area of the car has noticeable discoloration, including small dark/black spotting. There is additional age-related discoloration and surface wear visible in areas of the finish. Throughout the body, you will findscratches, scuffs, paint wear, marks and other normal signs of age and use. Please examine all photographs closely, as they are an important part of the condition description.

I have given the car alight cleaning only. Because this is an older vintage collectible, I did not want to use harsh cleaners or aggressively scrub the original surfaces.

The exterior and especially theinterior could benefit from a more detailed cleaningby the new owner, according to their preference. Any additional cleaning should be performed carefully and with products appropriate for vintage tin toys and older painted surfaces.

The bottom of the vehicle remains ingood overall vintage condition, although it does show visible scratches and age-related wear.

It also appears that a previous owner hadtape or a label attached to the underside identifying the vehicle. The tape/label has been removed, but evidence from where it was previously attached may still be visible.

The underside is marked“PLYMOUTH VALIANT”and“MADE IN JAPAN,”adding to the wonderful vintage character of this collectible.

This isnot a mint-condition car, and I do not want to represent it as one. It has dents, scratches, marks, discoloration, surface wear and signs of its age. But that is also part of the story of a vintage toy that has been around for decades.

It would make a wonderful addition to avintage toy collection, tin automobile collection, Plymouth/Mopar collection, Japanese tin toy collection, or classic-car display.
