Foryour consideration, this is a dark brunette vintage 1960s “Swirl”ponytail Barbie doll. She shows average wear. No weird odors. Please read the full description for more specifics. I am the SECOND owner, since the original owner sold herto me a few years ago. Original owner must have takengood care of her.
DESCRIPTION:
1960’sSwirl ponytail. Dark Brunette.Madein Japan by Mattel.Standis NOT INCLUDED.
BODY= Lovely original body. It is marked with the Midge/Barbie markings on her behind. Toes and fingers are all present. Hint of original nailpolish is still evident on her limbs. Legs are not bowed and they are nice and straight. Arms have not turned brown. There is a small "paint" mark on her lower thigh, left leg. SEE PHOTO # 13. I have not tried to remove it.
HEAD=Typical mid-1960’s Barbie face. Nice ORIGINAL brows with a tiny bitof FADING at the very tips of her brows (see close-ups).
SinceI got her, I displayed her in an air-conditioned room in a glasscase, with no windows, which has helped to preserve her.
NOGREEN EARS! The original owner told me that she lost the earrings as soon as she got this doll so fortunately this doll’s beenaround for years without earrings on, and thus NO GREEN EARS.
NONOSE NIPS. No neck splits.
Herlips have completely faded and flaking off, but I see a hint of pale pink, so that mayhave been her original lip color.
Noblush on her cheeks.
Her eyelash ridges are intact, and they look to never have been retouched. Lovely original blue eyes.
HERHAIR: Her hair may have been overly-brushed by the original owner(as a child) and thus, it is NOT VERY LONG. Her hair is pulled back in aponytail, but it is thin ON THE ENDS with some fly-away hairs hereand there. Obviously, her original side-swept bangs were re-done atsome point and I have never taken her ponytail out, since I got her. I kept her as shown, in a glass case (dressed in a mommy-made blue dress, which is not included).
IDO NOT KNOW what her hair looks like when un-done. Iam selling her “as is” in this up-do style. She has a bluebow in her hair (near the PT end) which was put there by the originalowner (or her Mom) .I kept the blue bow on her, since it’s so cute.
Shipping=Doll will be well packed and shipped in a box via USPS.
Thisis a non-smoking home.
Pleasemessage me w/ any questions.
