Original vintage Canonsburg American Legion Baseball jersey manufactured by Wilson Sporting Goods, Made in USA, size 42.A fantastic surviving piece of Western Pennsylvania baseball history. This gold and royal-blue uniform features CANONSBURG sewn across the chest, a large sewn #9 on the back and an embroidered American Legion Baseball patch on the sleeve.The jersey was manufactured by Wilson and retains its original interior label reading “Wilson – Made in U.S.A. – 42.” Its classic V-neck, striped rib-knit collar and sleeve trim, raglan-style construction and long rounded baseball tail are characteristic of team uniforms from the late 1960s/early 1970s.The Canonsburg area has a documented American Legion baseball tradition extending back decades, including Western Pennsylvania championship-level teams in the 1950s and later players who advanced through the Legion All-Star system.
