Vintage 1983 Great Shape Barbie AA Mattel #7834 NRFB Sealed Box For Sale

Up for sale is a 1983 Black Great Shape Barbie by Mattel, stock #7834, still in her original box.
Great Shape Barbie captures the 1980s aerobics craze perfectly. This is the African American version. She wears a shiny turquoise full-body leotard with a pink tie sash, a blue terry headband, and rainbow-striped leg warmers, and her dark hair is styled in full, voluminous curls. Her pink workout bag and the Great Shape Barbie workout booklet are visible in the window. According to the box, the set includes the jazzy full-body leotard, headband, leg warmers, workout bag, sash, ballet slippers, and exercise booklet. The back of the box shows her doing tendon stretches, sit-ups, scissor lifts, and back leg extensions. The Black Great Shape Barbie is harder to find than the blonde version, so she makes a great addition to any '80s Barbie collection.

• Doll: NRFB (never removed from box)
• Window: Intact with no tears in the plastic. There is light surface scuffing and some crinkling, visible in certain lighting.
• Original Jafco store stickers in the upper right corner of the front: a Jafco price label, an orange clearance sticker, and a white round sticker with a handwritten note reading "Jafco Great Shape 11/12/85." These are a fun piece of retail history.
• Box: Colors are bright pink on all panels, and the graphics are clean. The box shows wear consistent with age:
• A small cardboard fray along the top edge of the window cutout on the cardboard, near the doll's head
• Small crease at the bottom of the front box
