Vintage 1986 \"Velvet Touch\" paper dolls - Tom Sawyer & Becky Thatcher - Unopened For Sale

Tom Sawyer & Becky Thatcher Velvet Touch paper dolls is a sealed 1986 paper-doll set from a small California publisher, The Gates Group.
The Gates Group, P.O. Box 615, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272, issued Mark Twain’s Tom Sawyer & Becky Thatcher as part of its Velvet Touch Paper Dolls line. The sheets are copyrighted © 1986 The Gates Group and marked “Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.”
The selling point was the flocked “velvet touch” surface. Costumes were meant to stick by pressing them on, with no tabs and no magnets, and to lift off for changes. The red dot on the header is a sample of that flocking. The back copy says the pieces can also be used on a felt or flannel board for display and storytelling, and calls them suitable for classroom use. Age rating is 6 and up, with a note that younger children may need help cutting.
