Vintage 1997 Mattel “Barbie as Marilyn in Gentleman Prefer Blondes” #17451 *NRFB For Sale

This listing is for a NRFB Mattel Barbie as Marilyn in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes doll (#17451). This was purchased at an estate sale. **The box has light shelfwear, but the window has a small split on the lower right corner. Her dress looks like it might have some light fading, which is common for this release- please see photos.**

All NIB dolls and toys come wrapped in thick bubble wrap and secured in the shipping box surrounded by packing foam/paper to keep the box protected during shipping. For orders of $100 or more, we get extra shipping insurance to cover the contents. If you buy more than 2 items, we do combine shipping and will refund the shipping overage paid after we weigh your package. No cancellations after shipping label and tracking number have been issued.

Many vintage Mattel dolls, especially from the 1980’s have a quirk where their legs get white spotting due to plasticizer leaching. If you purchase a doll that is NRFB (never removed from box) and you remove it from the box and see that it’s legs have spotting, we will not offer a refund (partial or full) on items where it would have been impossible for us to have known about said spotting. It is a common occurrence that is present in many dolls simply due to their age, If we can see the legs have spotting, without removing it from the box we will note it and the price will reflect that.

Orders are packaged with extreme care, but when the carrier takes possession, we cannot guarantee the safety of that order. We do not offer refunds and free shipping returns for items damaged during shipping. If an item is damaged or broken during shipment, an insurance claim with the United States Postal Service (USPS) will need to be filed. As proof of damage, the USPS (closest to you) will want to physically see the broken item and the original shipping container with the shipping label attached. Do not throw the item or the package away until the insurance claim has been received. Photos of the damaged/broken items are essential. If, in a special case, we do accept a return, the buyer will pay all return postage.
