This is a vintage Panasonic RX-DS16 Portable Stereo CD System, manufactured April 1998. It\'s complete in the original box with the original Styrofoam inserts and the original operating manual. It\'s hard to find these complete, and even harder to find one this clean.
It came from a home where the previous owners took excellent care of it.
Tested and working (see video):
- CD player: plays discs perfectly, and in-track search working
- Cassette deck: play, fast forward, and rewind all work
- Digital AM/FM tuner: tunes through stations with clear FM stereo reception
- The XBS Extra Bass, display, and all controls function
Condition details:
- The cabinet is extremely clean overall.
- There are a couple of faint marks on the front speaker vent that would not come off with cleaning. (VIEW PIC)
- There is one very small nick at the bottom front right corner, about half the size of a fingernail. (VIEW PIC)
- The battery compartments are clean with absolutely no corrosion.
- The power cord is in excellent condition.
- The telescoping antenna is straight and intact.
Original box:
The box shows its age. It has corner wear, a small tear, old packing tape, a retail sticker, and handwritten marker on top (\"CD Player\" / \"Basement\"). The Styrofoam inserts are complete.

Batteries are not included. It runs on AC power or 8 D-cell batteries.
