This piece was also made by the same ex Chrome Hearts artisan from my previous listing . You can tell that the customer was very happy with both the piece as well as my dedication to giving you the best customer service that is humanly possible.
The artisan made for me in the early 00s I am the only owner . It is over 25yrs old maybe 23. It actually was missing the end clasp which was a T style wallet chain .
The thing is , almost every interested previous party didn’t want it to fit a wallet or they wanted a convertible conversion able type of end clasp so they could wear the chain by itself and not with wallet or in some cases because it’s so ornate and beautiful they even said necklace or other use .
I was going to sell it without repairing it but I just felt like it was not quite right and I love this thing . I have become more nostalgic as I’ve cared for it this last couple weeks finding the right lobster clasp and then the right jeweler .
It’s never been polished .
This guy matched the links so perfectly.
The newer lobster end clasp is a chrome hearts fill and hand assembled + soldered flower and on the clasp has a special little extra Burst. It is a very durable clasp and it will last a lifetime if cared for .
It wouldn’t make sense to put a $1500 clasp on a $1000 chain anyway . It wouldn’t actually be correct fully either if you know what I’m saying ?
So it was the right move and also pays homage to the origin of the artisan .
He had purchased some of the original end clasp with Mex925 but you can see its hand hammered the little circular pin post that’s not a cast . The stamping etc it’s really nicely done .
This is heavy but not impossible or weapon level . Maybe weapon level . It is 216.59 Grams , 7.64 Oz or 6.964 Troy Oz , it’s very substantial.
You would be so hard pressed to find hand artisans in today’s world making this kind of thing this way .
He really wanted to be able to make those types of Chrome Hearts pieces without the price tag .
The same chain style with similar technical level is $9000 on the real real .
In 2003 dollars it was about $900 in today’s money .
This is long , it is 22.5 or so you’ll see the ruler .
And factually it is vintage
sorry to make you feel old if you’re over the age that remembers this year well .
Additionally I put a couple hundred into the repair and was previously selling it for 6-700 so I’ll split the difference still and sell it at the asking price
It is beyond fair and stings a little and that’s how it should he for a good price .

It takes a lot of consistency to have 1500 responses 100% positive and you know if you are a seller how difficult that can be to maintain. I’m proud of it but it really isn’t that hard . You just have to care and be upfront about everything . It’s actually simple .
